Project: Assessment Overview Redesign

Issue: Users found the existing Assessment Overview web page cumbersome and confusing to navigate.

Solution: Provide a user-friendly layout that includes only the most pertinent info by default. Place other functions and data in less prominent positions on the page or in menus.

Project: Text Complexity Module (proposed)

Issue: There is no way to get clear results for a student’s understanding of a text passage on an assessment.

Solution: Proposed a collapsible table that users can navigate to find student results using filters. This new module would also include a machine learning backend to provide next steps for students and teachers.

Project: Reports Viewer

Issue: Users requested a way to see reports in their search before running them. Users also requested that all reports be accessible from a single page with better filtering.

Solution: We provided an alternate layout to the Reports View web page. In addition to updating the look of the List View, we added an Image View that shows users thumbnail(s) of the reports in their search. Users can also click on an image to get a larger view and/or go to the help document associated with the report.

Project: Instacharts

Issue: The Custom Report module allows users to create a tabular report using available data. The module had a charting function that was unusable in its current state.

Solution: We created a drag-and-drop style reporting tool that uses selected columns in the custom report as draggable objects. The chart area is updated as objects are added or removed. Users can also change the chart type and basic styles.
